Redheads can take Stinging Pain like Champs – BRING IT ON BEES!

Finally… after all the years of people making fun of me for being a ginger, research is showing how redheads may be more sensitive to certain pain, but can take others like a champ.  We are more sensitive to cold and respond less to subcutaneously administered anaesthetics, BUT, recent research shows that redheads are less sensitive to stinging type pain. — BRING IT BEES!!!

Neuroscientists believe the MCR1 gene may be important… but come on… I’m sure its just cause of all the years they have been being made fun of – they developed tough skin.
